Vose-to-Home

Home deliveries and pickups are available to those in need.

Free Library Delivery Service

Vose Library offers a free library delivery service to homebound residents of Union who are unable to visit the library in person because of lack of mobility, lack of access to a vehicle, visual impairment, or because of a short-term disability such as late or post-term pregnancy or recovery from surgery, injury or illness.

Items are delivered and picked up every other Friday, generally after 4:00 pm. Library items will be put in a weatherproof pouch and must be returned in this pouch. Even if you are not available on the scheduled day, the volunteer will leave your delivery items in a covered location at your specifications. Please leave any items to be returned to the library in this same location. A Vose Library volunteer will deliver and pick up your selections using a private vehicle. You may ask to see the volunteer’s driver’s license and call Vose Library to confirm the person’s identity. No deliveries will be made on RSU40 snow days, as Vose Library may also be closed. A volunteer will contact you to let you know the rescheduled delivery date.

You may choose books and other materials by selecting your items online through the Vose Library catalog, if you have access to the internet. If there is a specific title, author or subject matter that you are interested in, you may also phone in your request to the library (207-785-4733). At your request, a volunteer can also select materials for you based on your preferences as shown on the application form. Vose-to-Home patrons may borrow a maximum of 10 items at a time, including up to two each of audio books (on CD), movies (on DVD), and magazines.

Please call the Library to submit an application over the phone, email us at librarian@voselibrary.org, or complete the form below.
